Oh yes, that's years since I've seen that - how could RTD be so unoriginal!?

Kylie stars in festive Doctor Who

Cool :-) I just hope the script isn't as shit as last years.

LOL! I'm sure Kylie will more than make up for that, as far as some people are concerned.

Saw this in the Manchester Evening News tonight ... what a lovely picture of DT (well, if you lot are allowed to drool over Kylie, then I think I am permitted a little latitude, ahem).

Update: For those of you who don't read the Dr Who forum - Catherine Tate is to reprise her role as Donna and come back as the Doctor's companion for the whole of the next series.

Shit, I can't stand Catherine Tate.

I went into Cardiff today for a look around and I saw that in the Red Dragon Centre they have a Doctor Who exhibition on :-) didn't get to go today as the two people I was with thought it was a bit sad, good job I didn't tell them that on the way over I'd been listening to a new Peter Davidson Big Finish show on the car stereo. They'd have probably never spoken to me again, lol. So I'm gonna try and get down there again tomorrow to see it.

I was visiting drwho-online.co.uk [drwho-online.co.uk] and David Tennant's web page, and noticed that there was the "this site is best viewed with Internet Explorer". I know this is a bit off topic, but am just wondering why they don't design the web pages to be a bit more universal.

Didn't make it to the exhibition, I'll have to save it for another weekend.

Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff, Doctor Who exhibition.

I like the way they advertise free entry to the shop, WOW. Lol.

I took Baby Hamster to the Dr Who exhibition at the Manchester Space and Science Museum - it was enjoyable (although it could have been a bit more interactive). We will be going again, as we bought season tickets - it is on until early November if you are in the North West.

I presume the Cardiff one is permanent? The shop bit is funny - that is a bit of a blooper!

Managed to make it to the Doctor Who exhibition today :-) bit of a swiz mind. £5 to get in and on the inside you have about 30 metres to walk around then you are in the shop. The stuff on display was very badly done too, a lot of the stuff was just posters, there was very little of the earlier doctors and then they had things like the 9th doctors jacket on a manakin and Rose's nurse outfir from an episode. The highlight was K9, he only said a couple of phrases but I'm a big fan.

The shop was ok as they sold the old doctor who series of books at the same original price. They were printed in the early 80's so they must have been in storage for a long time. I also got episode 6 of the 8th doctors current big finish series on CD. Listened to it on the way home, very good.

The books I got were The Sontaran Experiment, The Ribos Operation & Meglos. All fourth doctor outings.

Yeah, it's permanent I think, I'll go back, but just to the shop next time to get some more of the books. I wonder if you have to pay to get into the shop, hope not.

I hope the one in Manchester is a lot bigger than the one in Cardiff.

Difficult to say - it was more than 30 metres long, I think. I do think it could have been a little more interactive - there was a button next to a cyberman which made it say something (I think it had about 4 phrases); similarly for a dalek. There was also a cut open dalek in which you could speak into a voice synthesiser. that was it. The rest was a procession through all the episodes from the first two series of the new Dr Who - sets/costumes, and some with a backdrop of a clip from that episode playing on a loop. It looked good, but a bit of a disappointment to anyone not completely obsessed by Dr Who (so my daughter and I did enjoy it!)

I thought the shop was a bit of a shabby add-on, and could better have been used to extend the exhibition (there is a separate shop in the museum anyway). It didn't seem to stock much - there was the affordable pocket money stuff - keyrings, pencils, rubbers, etc... then there were the expensive toys - mostly models from the series.

As I bought us both a season ticket, we will make at least one more visit, but probably after the summer holidays.

Lol, yeah they had interactive displays like that at the one in cardiff, some were sheets with pictures and writing on and when you presses the interactive button an alien was backlit from behind the sheet, WOW, lol.

I went back the following day though and bought a load more of the books :-) I'll probably do all my christmas shopping in the shop this year, it was that great a shop. If my family don't like Doctor Who tough shit this christmas. :-)
